BREST, 16 March (BelTA) – Stolin District of Brest Oblast signed a twinning agreement with Ialoveni District of Moldova, BelTA learned from the Stolin District Executive Committee. The agreement was signed by Acting Chairman of the Ialoveni District Oleg Mereakre and Chairman of the Stolin District Executive Committee Grigory Protosovitsky. The document envisages cooperation in economy, trade, agriculture, industry, housing, education, culture, and tourism.
The partners agreed on mutual exchange of delegations of officials, business representatives, public and youth organizations, artistic groups. The Moldovan delegation was in Stolin on 14-16 March. The visit was preceded by a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Moldova to Belarus Victor Sorocean and the leadership of the district during which the parties discussed the establishment of regional ties.
During the visit, the representatives of Moldova got familiar with some of the enterprises in Stolin District. The guests showed interest in cooperation with Glinka Peat. Production cooperation was also discussed during the visit to the Gorynsky Agro. The program of the visit also includes a trip to the agricultural company Novaya Pripyat, and the Olshany farm.
